On March 17, 2011, Agora Financial LLC, a publisher of books and newsletters on economics and investments, acquired the iconic Greenwich Village libertarian bookstore and publisher, Laissez Faire Books. In what proved to be a monumental effort, OGS was a crucial partner in developing a cohesive brand for a large suite of products and two e-letters.
OGS developed the parent brand and related elements and style guides to give LFB’s large suite of products and e-letters a cohesive look. Working hand-in-hand with LFB’s in-house designers, OGS created a look that not only worked for LFB’s immediate needs, but one that could be replicated to accommodate regular product additions and franchise expansion. A selection of product identities within that suite are shown below.
In addition to product mastheads for printed and online publications, elements for responsive email templates and websites were also adapted and developed from the parent styles that OGS designed.
Product Identity for Spin-off Supplement Brand
As part of LFB’s ever-expanding suite of product offerings, OGS developed the logo and branding elements for a new line of all natural nutritional supplements named, “Laissez Faire’s Living Well.” Logo and bottle label are shown here.
OGS also developed an exclusive website for Living Well employees, giving them the option to order Living Well’s products at a significant discount. The site is based off of a simple Bootstrap responsive framework.
