A New Look For An Eastern Shore Tradition

OGS had the pleasure of designing an updated look for the well-established Eastern Shore seafood restaurant, The Narrows. The restaurant is located in the famous Kent Narrows waterway, a notoriously skinny and heavily-traveled thoroughfare between the Chester River and Eastern Bay on the Chesapeake Bay’s Eastern Shore.

The already-narrow and classy look of the typeface, Trio Light, leant itself well to representing both the upscale nature of the restaurant and the well-known characteristics of its waterfront location. The final product is well suited for all modern online and print applications.

In early 2015 The Narrows Restaurant underwent extensive interior renovations to its bar, and dinning area. OGS incorporated elements like the floor and bar-top pattern into the brand’s style to ensure consistency.

Responsive Website

O’Dell Graphic Solutions developed a modern, easily-navigated website that features The Narrows Restaurant‘s award-winning menu, and convey the personality, values, and history of their well-established business.

The website incorporates large-format images of the dishes, (shot by Jenna Walcott & O’Dell Graphic Solutions) and of the new interior (shot by OGS).

Print & Outdoor Promotional Design

OGS has used the look it’s developed for The Narrows Restaurant to create more than a few pieces of promotional material over the years, including advertisements for magazines and news papers, in-store email sign up cards, email mastheads, large-format banners, and billboards.

Photography

OGS was privileged to work with Jenna Walcott photography to get the shots of the entrees and other dishes, but for the post-renovation interior shots and staff photos, OGS was happy to have taken the images for The Narrows.
