A Significant Step Forward for MSJ
In 2013 Baltimore’s Mount Saint Joseph High School contracted OGS to help them develop new, more effective fund-raising techniques.
The techniques and designs of the new strategies OGS presented to MSJ represent a significant step forward in Mount Saint Joseph’s marketing efforts. By introducing more engaging graphics and videos, implementing proven direct-response marketing techniques, as well as updating to a mostly responsive mobile-friendly format, OGS has helped MSJ break new ground and has inspired a flood of new ideas and excitement for future campaigns.
Christmas Message 2015
In the most-recent addition to the on-going Mount Saint Joseph High School‘s fundraising campaigns, OGS worked with MSJ’s in-house marketing staff to develop and produce audio and motion footage for the 2015 Christmas message. OGS captured footage of students and faculty in multiple locations on the MSJ campus and recorded the MSJ A Capella group to produce this two and a half minute video, which was distributed to their lists via email and social media outlets.
End-of-Year Campaign 2015
OGS developed assets for Mount Saint Joseph High School‘s end-of-year 2015 donation campaign titled, Investments That Matter. Assets included a responsive email design with call-to-action leading to responsive video landing page. The video landing page featured a video of scenes whose purpose was to show how MSJ develops “Men That Matter.” The related donation landing pages were broken up into three steps for ease of use and were to be housed on the MSJ website. These assets not only had to look fresh, but also be consistent with MSJ’s overall look.
Start-of-Year Campaign 2014
OGS developed assets for Mount Saint Joseph High School‘s fall 2014 donation campaign titled, Making Smart Investments. Assets included logos for each of the available investment funds, an info graphic explaining each of the funds, and an email design and related donation landing pages to be housed on the MSJ website. These assets not only had to look fresh, but also be consistent with MSJ’s overall look.
End-of-Year Campaign 2014
O’Dell Graphic Solutions was proud to have helped Mount Saint Joseph High School develop a strategy — including multiple landing pages, graphics and video — for the final email blast of the 2013-2014 Annual Fund which helps over 300 students receive $1.6 Million in need-based and academic financial aid.
OGS created a strategy that included an email blast feeding a landing page with video and a single call to action. The video and landing page walked potential contributors through the various ways their donation would be used and demonstrated how grateful students were, and how previous donors were proud to have supported the cause. OGS selected previously captured motion footage and still photos from MSJ archives, then wrote a script to create an attractive 1minute and 35 second video. (OGS worked with strategic video and photography partner, Rebecca Saunders on video production)
The landing page lead to an improved donation form and thank you page with consistent re-enforcement of the benefits of donation, while encouraging people to share links to the campaign on social media and through email.
OGS also put a page in place for those that aren’t ready to donate at the moment. It allows an undecided donor to submit any questions they might have or request to be called at a specific time to consult. We also suggested an exit pop up with the same information.
