On April 21st of 2015 Google rolled out its new search algorithm that is designed to reward mobile-friendly websites with higher search rankings, essentially punishing those that are not mobile-friendly. Due to the perceived SEO fall out of sites that aren’t currently mobile-friendly, some in the industry have coined this new Google algorithm update with the term “Mobilegeddon.”
